About the Role
As an Automation & Control Engineer at GustoMSC, you will apply your technical expertise and professional experience to deliver high-quality automation and control solutions for offshore equipment and systems. Working under the guidance of Technical Project Management and Lead Engineers, you will play a key role in engineering and integrating A&C solutions across all project phases, from proposal and detailed design through manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning.
This role requires strong attention to detail, awareness of the commercial impact of engineering decisions, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary, fast-paced, and client-driven environments. You will act as the technical focal point for Automation & Control matters on assigned projects and support engineers in preparing deliverables for quoting, design, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to projects through automation and control system design, engineering, analysis, and verification
Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, classifications, standards, and Quality Assurance procedures
Develop system requirements specifications (SRS), functional design specifications (FDS), and software FAT procedures
Design, configure, and validate Automation & Control systems, including PLC- and HMI-based solutions
Review and coordinate technical documentation from third-party suppliers
Define, manage, and maintain interfaces with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and other secondary systems
Validate A&C system designs through system studies, simulations, and testing activities
Prepare, attend, and witness FATs, HIL tests, and SATs for Automation & Control systems
Support functional testing during commissioning and site activities
Participate in internal design reviews with awareness of technical and commercial implications
Develop best practices, work methods, and engineering standards to support continuous improvement
Ensure all technical deliverables meet system requirements, project scope, and customer expectations
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in Automation & Control system design and integration
Strong understanding of control system architecture, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication networks
Experience with system validation, FAT, HIL testing, and commissioning activities
Familiarity with multidisciplinary interface management in complex engineering projects
Interpersonal Skills
