About the position of Field Service Coordinator
What to expect of the Field Service Coordinator position within Huisman?
As a Field Service Coordinator, you will be involved in order administration. You are a pivot of the department. You assist the Service Operation Lead in the fulfilment of Service orders. From handover from after sales to completion of projects.
You make sure data is properly stored in the systems. You initiate actions in the organisation to order parts and arrange for them to be shipped or collected through the warehouse or subcontractors we work with.
You provide financial project summaries and you analyse and invoice for orders. You plot the actions in the organisation to collect all the information at a central point. You then ensure that invoicing to the end customer is transferred to our Finance department fully prepared.
You arrange flights and hotel reservations for our Field (Service) Engineers. These take place all over the world, sometimes in cooperation with one of our other Service branches abroad. You initiate actions to arrange documentation for engineers and arrange visas and any other necessary travel documents through our travel department.
Prior to visits by service engineers, you ensure that the customer receives all information. You review work plans and ensure that they are signed and distributed in the organisation. You also do this after a project is completed. You ensure that the service report looks neat and that it is stored correctly internally so that it can be shared with the customer.
In addition, you continuously think about improvements and ensure that proposals are worked out. Improvements in efficiency of preparation, execution and handling of orders, communication between departments and invoicing. You come up with proposals, discuss them and develop them further.
