Role Purpose

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for assisting the organization in better understanding, and effectively integrating, re-aligning and applying the total enterprise ability or capacity to achieve strategic and current operational objectives.

Active contribution to the Group Supply Chain strategy and to its successful implementation, drive continuous improvement and provide support to Regional Centers and business Owners while interfacing with process owners.

Support the Strategic Sourcing community by undertaking the required analyses across categories and reporting in accordance with the strategic requirements in the Supply Chain scope.

Role Contribution

In order to translate Supply Chain strategy into procedures and systems while ensuring continuous improvement of ways of working in an aligned manner, the scope and activities to be undertaken by the Strategic Sourcing Analyst include the following as directed by the Group Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Data Analysis

Undertake the required internal and external analysis across categories.

Consolidate internal benchmarks

Measure of Effectiveness:

Responsible for undertaking data analysis (internal and external) as required by the Group Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Responsible for translating the results of such analyses into visual reports for circulation to relevant internal and external entities.

Adequacy of the analysis and approval of the business stakeholders

Reporting and Documentation

Deliver various Strategic Sourcing reports, newsletter and document deliverables as required by the business

Manage risk and opportunities register and reporting

Support ESG reporting

Measure of Effectiveness:

Regular issuance of reports to relevant internal business entities upon internal approval

Incorporate amendments and/or comments and ensure the reporting is kept updated as per the needs of the business

Generate presentations/reports/analyses as directed

By the end of 2024 the current SBM Schiedam office will move to Groot Handelsgebouw in the heart of Rotterdam city centre, one of the Netherlands’ largest multi-tenant business buildings. Extensive works will make this space into the perfect location to showcase SBM Offshore’s new Rotterdam presence and identity, with modern office space design and our SBM office branding.
