About the position of Medior Expeditor

What to expect of the Medior Expeditor position within Huisman? 

Would you like to work as the ears, the eyes and the voice of Huisman? As a Medior Expeditor, you will monitor the progress of our suppliers and, if necessary and you deem it necessary, you will visit them to understand whether the set deadlines are being met and you will know when to escalate and/or mitigate in case of deviations. You have a critical and challenging mindset and you do not want to end up empty-handed towards the project team. You feed complete and reliable information back into the project so that there are no costly planning surprises.

What do we expect of you?

As a Medior Expeditor you are responsible for:

Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering and QC for deadlines and external visits;

Monitoring the progress of procured goods and services, accordance with the purchase order;

Ensuring delivery is according to agreement, push and escalate when the project needs it;

Pro-active approach as timely delivery is essential to the projects.

You are comfortable in technical organisations and know how to move between different levels, one moment on the production floor with a supplier, the next moment at the boardroom table with a manager, and you are able to maintain a professional composure at all times.

You have:

 A relevant Bachelor work and thinking level.

You are:

Flexible, Client oriented and focused;

Know how to work with (ERP) systems;

Proactive and Persuasive;

Practical, accurate and punctual.

Some practical things we need you to have:

An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;

A good command of the English language verbally and in writing;
